27/4/14
Today in Junior Edge we heard how the first Christians lived in community – learning together, eating together, sharing with each other and meeting together to worship and pray together. (You can read about this in Acts 2:42-47)
Sometimes life as a follower of Jesus is hard, but having other Christians to help and encourage us makes us stronger.
This week’s question: Name 3 things the first Christians did together.

Remember to learn the Bible verse for this week:

Hebrews 10:24-25(CEV) — We should keep on encouraging each other to be thoughtful and to do helpful things. Some people have got out of the habit of meeting for worship, but we must not do that. We should keep on encouraging each other.

Check out the God and Me page of this blog to learn more about being an encourager.

Term 2 2014

What an exciting second term we have planned for Junior Edge! Not only are we starting a new series called ‘Better Together’, but this term we will be having our Children’s Service. So make sure you keep Sunday, 1st June free. Also try to keep Saturday, 31st May free for our full rehearsal. To top all this off, we are having a fun day on the Sunday following the Kids’ Service.

It’s all too good to miss!

6/4/14
When life is good, it’s pretty easy to follow Jesus. But sometimes life is disappointing. Things don’t go your way, and then following Jesus isn’t so easy. But don’t give up! Jesus wants us to keep going, to keep following Him even when it’s hard, because He’s got great things in store for you – including an amazing place called Heaven.

The question for this week: What is something God is preparing for us?

HERE'S THE FLIP!  DON’T QUIT – IT’S WORTH IT

So when your friends make fun of you for going to church, DON”T QUIT. IT’S WORTH IT!
Or when you stand up for what’s right and kids laugh at you, DON”T QUIT. IT’S WORTH IT!
When it doesn’t really seem to be worth your while to tell the truth, remember it’s what Jesus wants, and DON”T QUIT. IT’S WORTH IT!

Remember to learn the Bible verse for this week:

No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him. 1 Corinthians 2:9

Today was our last session of FLIPT. Junior edge, along with Kool Kids and mini edge are on a break until Sunday 27th April when we will be back with more exciting programmes.

HAVE A GREAT BREAK EVERYONE!
