What an AMAZING job all the kids did today! It was so great to see you putting into practice what we have been learning – that each of us has a special part to play in God’s plan for the church. I know many of you spent time at home practicing your different roles – THANK YOU!
Thanks, too, to all the leaders and parents who helped in many different ways. Isn’t it great when we all work together for Jesus!!

Check out the 'Arty the Ant' story and see the amazing illustrations produced by Peter Hensworth with Jasmine, Joshua G, Anna and Isaac on the 'Arty the Ant' page.

Don’t forget that next Sunday, 8th June, is a FUN DAY for JUNIOR EDGE. We will be learning how God has a big party planned for all those who have chosen to follow Jesus – a party so much better than we can even imagine!
DON’T FORGET TO BRING A PLATE OF FOOD TO SHARE.

Don’t forget our Bible verse:
He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing full of love. Ephesians 4:16

It was great having all the kids together today - mini edge, Kool Kids and Junior Edge. Everyone did such a great job during our practice. A BIG 'thankyou' to everyone - kids, parents and leaders!
Next Sunday is the Children's service and we would like ALL Junior Edge kids to meet in the shack at 9.15am for last minute instructions and practice.
See you all then!

Better working Together
Today, in Junior Edge, we experienced Ephesians 4:16 – what it means to work together with everyone doing their own special work.
Thanks everyone for what you did today – your willingness, your co-operation and your cheerfulness were very encouraging. It made me think of what the early church must have been like!
A big ‘thankyou’ to our visiting helpers as well – Ola and Peter Hensworth, Ash Price and George Morgan. I’m sure all the kids enjoyed your input and learnt from you today.

Don’t forget our Bible verse:
He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing full of love. Ephesians 4:16

Next Sunday, 25th May is our one and only practice for the Children’s Service, so it would be good if EVERYONE could be there.

Also, pray for Harrison, who was taken to hospital this morning as he was very unwell.

Better to work Together
1 Corinthians 12:14-21, 24b-25 tells us that the church is like a body. As the body has many bits and pieces, all working together, so does the church have different people, with different abilities and gifts given by God. It is God’s plan that we work together, each of us doing our part, so that our church can be the way God wants it to be – a healthy church where people come to know Jesus and grow in their friendship with him.
This week’s question: Why do you think God wants his followers to work together?

Remember to learn the Bible verse for this week:
He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing full of love. Ephesians 4:16
