True worship is from our hearts and when we do it’s honest, in spirit and in truth – for God, not for others.

God gives us a lot of examples in the Bible about how to really worship Him, but without Jesus, we won’t be able to do it. Before we can really worship God, we need to know him. To know him, we need to choose Jesus to be our Forever Friend. How do we do that?

We need to:

Admit that we’ve disobeyed God

Believe Jesus died for us, to take the punishment we deserve, ask God to forgive us, and

Choose to follow Jesus and live God’s way, not our way.

When we choose to follow Jesus, we find out who God is because He sends His Holy Spirit to live in us. God’s Holy Spirit teaches you how to glorify God and stop glorifying everything else. Make Jesus your leader. Listen to God’s Holy Spirit, and you’ll be able to worship God in spirit and in truth!

Our Bible memory verse for this week says,

JOHN 4:23  … true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way
