Today’s ‘Star’ was a guy called Daniel. He is a ‘Star’ to us because he CHOOSE TO BE DIFFERENT than everyone else. While everyone else was willing to pray to King Darius, Daniel continued to pray to God, no matter what the cost!

If we want to be a star then we must REFUSE TO STOP PRAYING!  We should always look to God no matter what! No one is nearly as important as God is! His ideas are the best ideas! Talk to God before worrying about what other people think!

So what is this week’s ‘Big Idea’?

Today we discovered that the first step to becoming a ‘Star’ (the kind God wants us to be) is to CHOOSE TO BE DIFFERENT.

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, the Stars of the week, all chose to be different when they refused to bow down to the statue that Nebuchadnezzar had made. They knew that God didn’t want them to bow down and worship anything other than him.

Like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, we need to care more about what God thinks of us than everyone else does. We need to CHOOSE TO BE DIFFERENT and REFUSE TO BOW DOWN TO ANYONE BUT GOD!

So what is this week’s ‘Big Idea’?

I hope you are enjoying your holidays, wherever you are, whatever you are doing.

Junior edge starts back on Sunday, July 19^th and we have another great term planned.

How many of you have ever wanted to be a ‘Star’? Or, maybe you really admire a certain star – perhaps a movie star, a rock star or a sports star. Did you know that God wants YOU to be a ‘star’? This term we are going to discover how to be a star for God, shining brightly for him. So don’t miss out – see you on Sunday, 19^th July!

Isn't it great to serve God, the Father! Thanks to all you amazing kids for putting in your time and effort for today's service, 'Meet the Father'. We pray that everyone present will have gone away with a greater appreciation of our God, who he is and how much he loves us. 
Thanks, too, to all the leaders who helped train and guide the kids as they prepared for the service.

Don't miss next Sunday when Junior edge will be 'at the movies' - a time to sit back, relax and enjoy a great movie that will also teach us more about our amazing God!

We are 2/3 of the way through our ministry group training! We hope you are all enjoying the group you have chosen and are well on the way to preparing for the children’s service, ‘Meet the Father’, on Sunday, 14^th June.
