The ten lepers were covered with cuts and bruises and sores. No one knew how to make them better. They had to leave their families so they wouldn’t make them get sick, too. When Jesus healed them, He did something no one else could do. He gave the ten lepers a peek of how powerful God is and what He wants to do for everyone.

But only one leper came back and worshipped Jesus. He responded to Jesus’ power by thanking Him and shouting about what Jesus did.

God’s the only One who’s worthy. God loves you more than you’ll ever know. He’s given you the world to live in, the life you have, and He even gave His Son Jesus so you could live forever in Heaven with Him. God is worthy, and you can worship Him to show Him how much you value Him, and how important He is in your life. When God shows you His power, turn to Him and respond with worship, just like the leper that returned to Jesus after being checked by the priest.

Our Bible memory verse for this week is,

Psalm 96:4 The Lord is great and deserves our greatest praise! He is the only God worthy of our worship!

True worship is from our hearts and when we do it’s honest, in spirit and in truth – for God, not for others.

God gives us a lot of examples in the Bible about how to really worship Him, but without Jesus, we won’t be able to do it. Before we can really worship God, we need to know him. To know him, we need to choose Jesus to be our Forever Friend. How do we do that?

We need to:

Admit that we’ve disobeyed God

Believe Jesus died for us, to take the punishment we deserve, ask God to forgive us, and

Choose to follow Jesus and live God’s way, not our way.

When we choose to follow Jesus, we find out who God is because He sends His Holy Spirit to live in us. God’s Holy Spirit teaches you how to glorify God and stop glorifying everything else. Make Jesus your leader. Listen to God’s Holy Spirit, and you’ll be able to worship God in spirit and in truth!

Our Bible memory verse for this week says,

JOHN 4:23  … true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way

The holidays are almost over and that means Kids’ Church is about to start.

This term we are going outer space as we join the crew from the KONNECT SPACE STATION and discover some great stuff about WORSHIPING our AMAZING GOD.
