Isn't it great to serve God, the Father! Thanks to all you amazing kids for putting in your time and effort for today's service, 'Meet the Father'. We pray that everyone present will have gone away with a greater appreciation of our God, who he is and how much he loves us.
Thanks, too, to all the leaders who helped train and guide the kids as they prepared for the service.
Don't miss next Sunday when Junior edge will be 'at the movies' - a time to sit back, relax and enjoy a great movie that will also teach us more about our amazing God!

It was great to see those of you who were back again after the
holidays this week; hopefully everyone will be back next Sunday.
Sometimes it is hard to forgive someone when they do something
to hurt or upset us, but we need to remember how much God has forgiven us. When
we do that, it is only fair that we forgive others! If you find it difficult, remember
that God is there to help – you just have to ask!
If you
haven’t put your name down for at least one of the ministry groups, make sure
you do it next Sunday.
Our Bible verses to learn and
remember:
Psalm 139:1-3, 23, 24
Psalm 139:1-3, 23, 24
You
have looked deep into my heart, Lord, and you know all about me. You know when
I am resting or when I am working and from heaven you discover my thoughts. You
notice everything I do and everywhere I go.
Look
deep into my heart, God, and find out everything I am thinking.
Don’t let me follow evil ways, but lead me in the
way that time has proven true.

Holidays are over, so that means Junior
edge (and mini edge and Kool Kids) starts back next Sunday.
We have a great term planned, including
the Children’s Service on Sunday, 14th June. The theme this year
will be ‘Meet the Father’, where we will be sharing with the church what we
have been learning about God the Father.
Next Sunday, Timothy learns an important
lesson. Make sure you are there to find out what it is!!
Our Bible verses to learn and remember:

Timothy
certainly has a problem inviting that kid he doesn’t like to his birthday! Grandpa’s
advice was to pray about it.
Isn’t
it great that God the Father cares about us and all those problems we face,
however big or small they may be? He wants us to talk to him about them and he
promises to listen and answer. What an incredible God we have!
Today
was the last Junior edge for this term. We recommence on Sunday, 19th
April.
Our Bible verses to learn and
remember:
Psalm 139:1-3, 23
Psalm 139:1-3, 23

Have a happy and safe holiday everyone!

What
a surprise! Grandpa didn’t punish Timothy after all! That is just like God, the
Father – because Jesus has taken the punishment for us, God forgives us when we
come to him and tell him we are sorry for disobeying him.
The
story that Jesus told also tells of a father who didn’t punish his son, but
welcomed him back with loving arms. He even gave a party to celebrate his
return. Did you know that God has a party when we choose to become his forever
friend? He loves us sooo much and really, really wants to be our friend. He is
waiting for you to make that choice, just as the father in the Bible story was
waiting for his son to come back home.
Next
week Timothy has a problem that he brings to his grandfather. I wonder what
that problem is? Make sure you come next week to find out.
Psalm 139:1-3
You
have looked deep into my heart, Lord, and you know all about me. You know when
I am resting or when I am working and from heaven you discover my thoughts. You
notice everything I do and everywhere I go.

Today
we heard a story Jesus told about the owner of a vineyard. Even though the
people that were looking after the vineyard would not listen to the owner (and
even killed his son), the owner still had
control – he sacked those
people and got a new lot of people in to take care of the vineyard.
How
good it is to know God the Father is in charge - especially when things in our lives don’t go the way we want!
We know we can trust God and rely on him.
*What
will happen to Timothy? Will Grandpa punish him? Come next week to find out and
learn more about our amazing Father,
God.
The question for this week: Why was
Timothy feeling so bad?
Our Bible verses to learn
and remember:
Psalm 139:1-2
Psalm 139:1-2
You
have looked deep into my heart, Lord, and you know all about me. You know when
I am resting or when I am working and from heaven you discover my thoughts.
