Well done everyone – you all did a great job as we practiced for next Sunday. It was obvious that many of you had practiced at home during the week. Keep up the good work!

Don’t forget the rehearsal next Saturday, 4^th June, from 3.00pm to 4.30pm.

Also, invite family and friends to the Children’s Service on Sunday! We can encourage them to worship our awesome God!!

Next Sunday, 5^th June, we would like you all to meet in the shack at 9.45am.

Only two weeks to go until the Children’s Service. Don’t forget to practice your parts this week, and for those who need to memorise their lines it would be great if you could have them done by next Sunday.

Once again, thanks to the grade 1&2 kids and leaders for organizing the ice-cream sale for KCH. A cool $302.80 was raised!!

Some important dates for you to remember:

May 29^th (next Sunday) – Full practice for the Children’s Service.

June 4^th  (Saturday) – Full rehearsal for the Children’s Service at Edge 3.00pm - 4.30pm. Please make every effort to be there for this as it is our only practice on stage, using microphones, props, instruments, etc.

June 5^th  – Children’s Service: Xtreme Worship - Worshiping an Xtreme God

How amazing that Emily got chosen to be the tour guide for a Bible Adventure! It was sad for the rest of the crew to see her leave, but they learnt that we can worship God even when things aren’t so good. Worshipping God in the bad times, as well as the good times, helps us connect with him and know that he is in control; it helps us trust him.

Our Bible memory verse for this week is,

Psalm 100:2 NLT Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy.

Moses spent 40 days on Mount Sinai, receiving God’s laws. The Israelites became impatient and wanted to worship a god they could see, so Aeron made them a calf out of gold for them to worship.

We may think, “I’ll never worship an idol!”, but did you know that anything or anyone that you place above God is an idol?

Your choices, actions, and words show what you really worship. Be honest with yourself. If something else, someone else, or even your self is more important to you than God, it’s an idol. Let God be the centre of everything you do!

Our Bible memory verse for this week is,

Matthew 4:10 … You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him.
